On 7th of October 2020, a historical sentence came out of the Supreme Court of Athens: the neo-nazi party Golden Dawn was acting as a criminal organization. This means they used the guise of a political party to perpetrate violent acts in a coordinated way.

Now 37 members of the total 68 accused are in jail facing up to 13 years and a half of imprisonment. There is an appeal from the former politicians to be resolved, but this verdict underlined the flaws of the system, as for 7 years, up to 21 criminals were seating on the chairs of the Greek Parliament.

They entered the Greek Parliament for the first time in 2012 with 21 seats, but in 2019, in the middle of the trial, they lost half of their voters and did not reach the minimum 3% of votes to enter the Parliament.

This trial started in April 2015, with the murder of the rap singer Pavlos Fyssas as the pretext, but compiling previous alleged attacks to show that it existed a communication between the leadership of Golden Dawn and the violent activities that were going on on the streets of Greece.

It has been 5 years and a half of trial, with more than 450 sessions and hundreds of witnesses. Thanks to one witness, one politician, and two experts, this documentary aims to clarify the importance of this verdict and how the process was. For those who have no previous background on what Golden Dawn was, it makes a quick review of their past but especially emphasizes on its future.

Do they still exist?

Are they active?

Who will inherit the legacy of Golden Dawn?
